Mines Testing Center

The Mines Testing Center (Stratton Hall 109) has been established at the request of and for faculty as an alternative to current methods of providing the disability accommodations of extended test time and/or a non-distracting test environment. Though the Testing Center is available for all faculty to use to accommodate disabled students in their classes, it is not mandatory. Its purpose is to help alleviate the burden of providing extended test time and/or a non-distracting test environment.

Disability Services will manage the Testing Center, and the University will fund the resources necessary to meet requirements under the ADAAA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This facility will be used for exams only until further notice. Procedures for use of the Testing Center as well as a request form will be emailed to faculty along with the Confidential Letter of Required Accommodations sent on behalf of each student in need of extended test time and/or a non-distracting test environment per semester.
